Established in 2019, Pukka Fabre is a new collaboration between antique textile collector and authority Nicole Fabre, John Laflin, ex-Design Director of Liberty Prints and Pukka Print’s founder Juliet Cornell. The designs are largely inspired by Nicole’s extensive collection of antique textiles, mainly French in origin, and built up over the past 30 years.
Whilst the patterns honour the distinctive colour palette of the original textiles that inspired them, they have a Pukka Fabre twist. These new colour combinations expand the collection to over 20 fabrics, all of which are gloriously cross-cultural and offer a broad appeal. It is made up of beautiful handblocked prints from Jaipur, hand screenprints from Calcutta and weaves from England, embracing the Anglo-Indian feel so reminiscent of Nicole and Jools’s deep love of textiles.
